DANGER!
  • Commissioning / Maintenance must be performed only by qualified technicians.
  • The emergency OFF functions must be fully operational during commissioning. The relevant safety regulations must be observed to exclude danger for man and machine.
  • Incorrect details can damage the Servo motor!
  • A charge may still remain in the DC-link capacitor with hazardous voltages even if the power has been turned off. To avoid personal injury, please ensure that power has turned off before operating AC drive and wait ten minutes for capacitors to discharge to safe voltage levels.
    CAUTION!
    • There are highly sensitive MOS components on the printed circuit boards.
    • These components are especially sensitive to static electricity. To avoid damage to these components, do not touch these components or the circuit boards with metal objects or your bare hands.

    Sinamics G120 USB Bridge Driver

My Experiences With Sinamics G120 -
    Starter Version 4.1

I was trying to connect my pc to a Sinamics G120 with CU230P-2HVAC control unit using starter 4.1  and then I faced few problems as indicated .
    1.  Drive  Starter Scout- PC COM Port USS  was not available.

2.No COM port available for Communication as shown below.

    3. The Third issue was PC-Com Port USS missing in the Install Remove Interfaces Tab  as indicated below. Open the Tab & Click Select button to see .

After several queries & trials I was able to fix this issue using the Driver file attached below.
Use this Zip file -Driver File .

The issue was resolved after trying the above.
Aafter Installing close the Starter Re-open to be cautious & try the steps as indicated above.

Note this is Applicable only for Starter Version 4.1.  as the successive versions use S7-USB drivers.
Hopefully it should work & all the best Folks.
